Amal Clooney Steps Out in Straight-From-The-Runway Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2018
Amal Clooney participated in a discussion with National Public Radio host Kelly McEvers earlier today in San Jose, California for the Watermark Conference for Women. Clooney made headlines earlier this week with husband George in donating $500,000 to the Parkland shooting relief effort (and will be walking in the March For Our Lives anti-gun march), and today’s conversation touched upon the efforts needed to enact change and reform. For the occasion, Clooney opted for a demure but eye-catching dress plucked right from Diane von Furstenberg’s fall 2018 runway.
The geometric patterned dress, part of the house's first collection under its new creative director Nathan Jenden, was a bold new look for Clooney, who has often favored stripes, fringe, and metallics in the past. A contrasting graphic collar and button placket and waist-cinching belt felt both retro and modern, while Gilan’s diamond earrings punctuated the look with subtle sparkle.
