Amal Clooney Has a Major Fashion Moment at the UN Correspondents Association Awards in New York
The world’s most famous human rights attorney, Amal Clooney, returned to form in an elegant frock with throwback influences.
Amal Clooney rarely makes appearances on the red carpet, but when she does, the world takes notice—and for good reason. Her star turn at the United Nations Correspondents Association Awards in New York last night was no different. With her husband George at her side, the human rights attorney radiated classic Hollywood glamour in a neo-Grecian look from J. Mendel. The structured sweetheart neckline, a favorite of 1950s bombshells like Marilyn Monroe, was offset by the fluid micro pleating of her silk chiffon dress. The bicolor palette was also a refined choice, a pared-back alternative to the OTT embellished dresses often worn during the holiday party season. A tonally coordinated clutch and diamond drop earrings finished Clooney’s look with sophisticated sparkle.
