Hometown: “I was born in Guyana but brought up in England. I came to the UK when I was 5. I’ve never been back to Guyana, but my brother and some of my cousins are planning a trip soon.”

Plant Person: “My favorite thing about home is my plants. We have loads! My partner and I have very green fingers! They may soon take over because we have sooo many.”

Never Fear: “We moved around a lot because of my father’s work, so I think there was always a sense of adventure. Because of that, I have never been afraid of traveling, experiencing new things, and meeting new people.”

Family Heirloom: “I have a beautiful Victorian clock that belonged to my mother. The tick reminds me of her heartbeat.”

Travel Bug: “I adore Barcelona. The city offers an unparalleled quality of life, stunning beaches, buzzing nightlife, wondrous architecture, and culture. I haven’t been there for a couple of years, and I miss it.”

Rosheuvel Residence: “I am about to renovate a flat I own. Home is a very important space for me. As you can imagine, things can get a bit crazy out in the world so to have a space I feel safe in and can kick back and be myself in is important.”

My Spot: “There is a corner in our sitting room that I love. It’s a great position to see all the room and its many plants. It’s a grand spot. Queen Charlotte would love it—it’s a space to survey all who enter.”

I Am Traditional: She loves driving and has a huge soft spot for antiques and for mixed popcorn at the cinema. She’s dying to learn how to play the guitar and speak Spanish. Family picnics are the tradition she treasures most. She says yes to all the Christmas decorations and could eat spaghetti Bolognese and any kind of crumble and custard over and over again.
