Aly & AJ's Net Worth Might Send You "Into The Rush"

From Seventeen

It's been almost 15 years since Aly & AJ came out with their debut album, Into the Rush, but they're still killing it. Though at one point they changed their stage name to 78violet, the sister duo has taken no breaks from making music. They recently released a new EP called Sanctuary and they'll be starting the European leg of their Sanctuary Tour soon. The pair has been working hard ever since their Disney channel days and they're still going strong. Their almost 15-year career means that over the years the girls have cashed in a lot of checks. Here's what you should know about Aly & Aj's net worth and how they make their money.

Aly & AJ have made lots of money off their music. In August 2005, Aly & AJ released their first studio album, Into the Rush. The album has sold more than one million copies worldwide and is certified gold. Two songs off the album were featured in Disney movie soundtracks, meaning Aly & AJ got paid. "No One" was featured in the movie, Ice Princess, while their cover of "Do You Believe in Magic" was used in Now You See It... in which Aly had a starring role.

Speaking of Disney, both Aly and AJ also starred in the Disney Movie Cow Belles.

Into the Rush introduced the girls to more opportunities, like becoming the opening act for the Cheetah Girls during the Cheetah-licious Christmas Tour. The girls also appeared in the 2007 MTV movie Super Sweet 16: The Movie.

Aly & AJ's second album was Christmas-themed. On Acoustic Hearts of Winter, the girls recorded covers of traditional Christmas songs. It debuted at 14 on the U.S. Billboard Top Holiday Albums chart.

The third album Aly & AJ recorded, Insomniatic, contained their 2007 hit single, "Potential Breakup Song," which became the girls' first top 20 single in the U.S.

Two years later, in 2009, the girls parted with their label Hollywood Records and changed their stage name to 78violet. 78violet's first song, "Belong Here" was released on the Hellcats soundtrack. Hellcats was a cheerleading TV drama starring Aly that unfortunately only lasted one season before it was cancelled. Though the girls spent years working on a new album and performing new songs under the duo's new name, 78violet, the album never fully materialized. But the girls probably did earn a few checks from their 2013 special shows in Los Angeles and New York, where they performed for the first time in five years.

In 2015, the girls made their comeback as Aly & AJ and have since continued to release new music. Their most recent EP Sanctuary is out right now.

Besides music and TV, Aly & AJ have also worked on branded merchandise. In 2007, they worked with Hello Kitty to create Aly & AJ dolls, which sold at Target and Toys R Us.

ALy & AJ also released a video game called The Aly & AJ Adventure, which players could work as their assistant to help them record songs and direct a music video.

Aly & AJ ventured into many other industries including guitars, clothing, cosmetics, accessories, jewelry and even paperback books. The girls released their own adventure book series called Aly & AJ's Rock 'n' Roll Mysteries. In each book, the girls discover a mystery in a different city.
