Alta Ski Area Is Currently Bursting With Wildflowers

Folks, it's currently going down at Alta Ski Area, Utah. No -- I don't mean that it suddenly started snowing in Utah (sorry if I got your hopes up).

The excitement is of a different, more pollinated variety. Check out the wildflower patches currently on display at Alta.

Alta served up an important reminder alongside the images documenting the botanical bonanza:

If you're headed to Alta this weekend, please remember to stay on trail and utilize these photo pullouts. In case you forget, the Forest Service Rangers will be around all weekend to help remind you.

In short, don't walk on the wildflowers and stay on marked paths if you plan on heading to Alta this summer, lest you draw the ire of a Forest Service Ranger.

It's a pretty simple concept, although I understand the temptation to wander into the flower fields to learn what it felt like to be Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music. Or to, y'know, take a banger selfie for Instagram. 

Luckily, Alta has aspiring influencers covered. There are marked photo pullouts throughout the flower fields so you can deliver for your followers without trampling a fragile natural area.

Wandering through the wildflower fields isn't Alta's only summer recreation opportunity currently on tap. Hiking and mountain biking are now available, and a handful of restaurants are open for those interested in a scenic lunch.
