During the Queen’s state funeral service, we all noticed that her son, King Charles, wrote and left a heartwarming note for his mother on top of her coffin. However, did you spot that Kate Middleton and Prince William also left handwritten messages as well?

According to Hello! magazine, the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote messages for the queen and they were placed close to the Imperial Crown on the coffin. Though the message within the note wasn’t revealed to the general public, we can only imagine the royal couple left sweet words for the late monarch as they laid her to rest.

Middleton and William were not the only royals to leave a final note on the queen’s coffin. King Charles left a handwritten note with a few final words for Her Royal Majesty, which read, “In loving and devoted memory, Charles R.” The special note was nestled near the breathtaking wreath filled with vibrant flowers, chosen by the royal himself.

The royal family shared that the wreath featured “foliage of Rosemary, English Oak and Myrtle.” The flowers were different shades of gold, pink, deep burgundy and sprinkles of white. Not only that, they were hand-picked from the gardens of royal residences.

Our hearts truly go out to the members of the royal family.
