Ally Brooke Snagged the First 9s of 'DWTS' With a Breathtaking 'Beauty and the Beast'-Inspired Dance
Singer Ally Brooke took home the first 9s on season 28 of Dancing With the Stars after performing a breathtaking contemporary routine during Disney week. Brooke's routine, inspired by the Disney film Beauty and the Beast, earned rave reviews from the judges and scores of 9 across the board.
Brooke took to the DWTS stage stunningly dressed in Belle's iconic yellow ballgown, while partner Sasha Faber donned Prince Adam's handsome suit. Together, the duo wowed everyone watching both in the room and at home.
Judge Bruno Tonioli said the dance, set to the song "Beauty and the Beast," was “one and a half minutes of absolute happiness” and that Brooke went into the dance “with fearless commitment.” Judge Carrie Ann Inaba complimented Brooke's artistic lines, stating that although she didn't have the clean straight lines of a dancer, she gave a more unique performance that was great to watch. Notoriously tough judge Len Goodman said the performance was “smooth as butter on a hot muffin.”
Fans online seemed to absolutely love the routine, giving it endless positive feedback.
