Allison Janney Looks Gorgeous With Short Gray Hair

Allison Janney debuted a close-cropped, totally natural cut on The Drew Barrymore Show, and not only does it look good, but she says it makes her feel good, which is the most important thing.

Janney, who's 61, told Barrymore, “I cannot tell you how amazing it is to feel free. Free from hair color and hair extensions and hair tapes and blah blah blah….” 

She continued, “To be able to run my hands through my hair–and hopefully sometime a man will be able to run his hands through my hair—and appreciate…it's just, it's heaven.”

Single men of Hollywood, if you're not banging down Allison Janney's door the moment you're vaccinated (plus two weeks for antibodies), then what are you even doing with your lives?

Barrymore and Janney commiserated over the woes of hooking up with extensions in your hair. “Have you ever had a man, like, drag his hand through your hair and hit an extension?” Barrymore asked, to which Janney replied, “Drew, one time I was flirting with this guy. I was walking down the street in New York, just putting my hands in my hair, and two extensions came out and I just was dropping them on the ground.”

That being said, Janney says extensions are useful for creating characters, as are wigs. The Oscar winner says in her younger years she would sometimes wear wigs to the grocery store just for fun. The more wigs the better, we say. 

In her interview with Barrymore, Janney revealed she's not looking to get married or have kids. “I would rather regret not having kids than have kids and regret that,” she said, which, honestly, makes a ton of sense. She added, “I'd like to eventually find someone to share my life with, but if it doesn't happen, I think I'll be just fine.” Amen.
