An Alleged Lip Reading of Taylor Swift’s Convo With Phoebe Bridgers Is Causing Chaos on TikTok
Celebrities pretty much can’t go to events or red carpets without having the conversations decoded by lip readers (still recovering from what Prince Harry said at the coronation), and now fans are out here analyzing old footage of Taylor Swift.
Which brings us to a lip reading from TikToker @homenester, who posted a video of Taylor chatting to Phoebe Bridgers at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in March 2023 and alleged that she said, “I’m not normally a bad person. I just don’t, I just don’t want him around all the time,” followed by “sorry for all my problems.”
The comments have since been turned off, and @homenester shared another TikTok saying they’re retiring from lip reading, “The Taylor Swift video comments were wild. I’ve never had to turn off my comments before this. On one end, other ‘lip readers’ were trying to lip read on my page. Then argued with other lip readers. Then on the other end, the Swift fans and non Swift fans were going at each other.” They also said “no disrespect” was meant to Taylor by “putting words in her mouth.”
Obviously, only Taylor and Phoebe know what they were talking about during this conversation. But if that lip reading is correct, their conversation could have been about truly anyone. Just saying!
