On Tuesday, HGTV star Alison Victoria Gramenos shared the sad news that her father had passed away.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, the Windy City Rehab star wrote "My Father," followed by a list of many of the hats he had worn in his lifetime. "Newsboy, Boy Scout, FBI Agent, Public Defender, Federal Judge, but above all, Dad," she wrote. "A principled man whose extraordinary work ethic was exceeded only by his dedication to his children."

The 39-year-old designer went on to share that her father worked as a federal judge up until he was 84 years old. "He left a lasting impression, as well as his knowledge and wisdom, with all he met," she wrote. "He was so proud and so unconditional with his love and support for us. He was the epitome of a great father and he will be greatly missed."

"Rest In Peace Dad and may your memory be eternal. I love you and promise to keep making you proud." She ended the post by citing the 13th-century poet Rumi: "Don’t grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form."
