Alison Victoria and Donovan Eckhardt in the Clear Thanks To "Resolved" Lawsuit over Alleged Fraud
Windy City Rehab hosts Alison Gramenos and Donovan Eckhardt will enter into the new year with some resolve, following news that a lawsuit filed against them in April has been settled. Gramenos (who also goes by Alison Victoria) shared the news in a post uploaded to her Instagram page on December 11.
"I gratefully announce that the lawsuit arising out of the project at 1700 Wabansia has been resolved. It was resolved cooperatively with the help of my lawyer Dan Lynch at Lynch Thompson, LLP working closely with plaintiffs' lawyers," the Instagram post read.
The HGTV star also provided additional details on the steps made to ensure that the plaintiffs in the matter, Shane C. Jones and Samantha V. Mostaccio were satisfied.
"The amount received for plaintiffs' claims has satisfied plaintiffs that Alison Victoria Gramenos and Ermin Pajazetovic (owner of Space Builders) have acted appropriately with respect to resolving the disputes that led to the lawsuit," the social media post continued. "Plaintiffs have agreed to comment no further on the project and Ms. Gramenos and Mr. Pajazetovic are grateful that plaintiffs are now satisfied and that this unfortunate misunderstanding has been put behind them."
According to the Chicago Tribune, the plaintiffs encountered a litany of problems when Gramenos was brought on to turn the garage for their $1.3 million home into a workout studio. They claimed that the Windy City Rehab crew did not complete the work in time, caused water damage in the garage and didn’t have proper permits when they began the renovation.
The plaintiffs' Chicago home was featured on a season one episode of Windy City Rehab titled "House of Horrors." The HGTV description for the episode described the Wicker Park home as "a split-level" home "full of disasters."
