Skinny Santa, a Louis Vuitton Spokesperson & Kim Kardashian Wannabe Were All on the Same Red Carpet

The Danish Girl, the movie inspired by artist Einar Wegener, has received rave reviews and even a few nominations for industry awards. While the costume designer might have done magnificent work on set — taking place in the 1920s, characters wore elegant gowns made of luxurious fabrics featuring fringe and embellishments — but this spectacular sartorial job stayed there. At the London premiere of the film, a skinny Santa Claus, Louis Vuitton spokesmodel, and Kim Kardashian wannabe all walked the red carpet.

The star, Eddie Redmayne, who plays a man undergoing the first gender reassignment surgery, dressed for a holiday party on the North Pole, really giving hipster Santa Claus a run for his money. The Brit showed pride for the United Kingdom in a red tartan suit, which he paired with blue suede shoes.

While the Oscar winner arrived with his wife, he took time to pose on the red carpet with Nicolas Ghesquière’s walking advertisement, Alicia Vikander. The Swede, who’s basically proving to be Louis Vuitton’s version of Jennifer Lawrence, wore a dress from the French design house because of course she did. She might choose daring roles, but her fashion sense is so safe it’s like she’s Rose, and Ghesquière is Jack and she’ll never let him go (or at least until a lifeboat, in this case a new stylist, comes to save her).

The rest of the attendees were your typical moviegoers: there was Laura Bailey in a pink and white striped dress, your new boyfriend Matthias Schoenaerts looking dreamy, and director Tom Hooper in a black suit. But then came Sofia Hayat: Bollywood actress, singer, and latex fan.

Hayat, who obviously bows at the altar of Kim Kardashian West (her son is a Saint) wore a tight red leather skirt with a peplum hemline with a black top that was possibly stolen from the set of Fifty Shades of Grey (although not Dakota Johnson’s rack).
