ALICIA KEYS: And this current generation, too, is like-- it's all about being you.

I definitely think that all the platforms are really powerful mediums and ways to connect, 'cause considering that, 10 years ago, like, there was just not that level of personal, one-on-one connection, an artist could not literally just reach out to millions of people just like that.

That's really my strength. My strength is connecting with people in a genuine way. And it's my-- it's one of my favorite things to do, really. I love that we're able to know each other. And so there's something so powerful about this and so powerful about the opportunity to communicate. And so I do enjoy finding my way in to these different places. And sometimes it takes me a minute. I'm like, wait. What makes sense for me?

The cool thing is, there's really no restrictions. There's no rules. And I think that's actually what's so cool about this current space that we're in. It's all about finding the way to do it and do it in an interesting way. I like it. I like that there's so much access to being yourself and figuring out who that is. So I'm with it. I really am.
