Alicia Keys unexpectedly stepped out with blunt bangs and super-duper long, pin-straight hair for Wednesday night's 2020 Billboard Music Awards. Though she appeared early on in the evening, the iconic look was pretty much instantly declared one of our favorite beauty moments of the night.

The "If I Ain't Got You" singer unveiled her new hair look via Instagram shortly before the show in two stunning posts in which she's wearing a sparkly bodysuit and silver stilettos. "New side of Alicia to introduce you to. Nice to meet you. I’m ready 4 tonight at the @bbmas 8pm ET 💎💎💎," reads the star's caption.

As expected, the entertainer is getting a slew of great feedback on her hair from both fans and fellow celebs alike. The comment section is flooded with messages like: "Beautiful ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨," "Bayaannngggg 😍😍😍," and "THE BAYANG," so it's safe to say we're not the only ones in love with this stunning transformation.

Hairstylist Larry Sims was responsible for her hair makeover and definitely used hair extensions to achieve such head-turning length — though the bangs themselves could very well be real. We'll just have to wait and see.

Makeup-wise, Keys kept it simple with radiant skin and barely-there eye makeup. It looks as though she's only wearing a coat of mascara and that's it. Additionally, she doesn't appear to be wearing any color on her lips — just some subtle gloss for a naturally healthy-looking sheen.

Of course, we're eager to see if Keys will keep the bangs around, but even if she doesn't, it was fun and refreshing to see the star spice it up with a very different look for the night.
