  • Former inmate Alice Marie Johnson has now made her modeling debut for Kim Kardashian's shapewear line, SKIMS.

  • Kardashian organized for Alice Marie Johnson's release after hearing her story on social media. Prior to being granted clemency in 2018, Johnson had been serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

  • Kardashian's criminal justice streak has seen her continue to advocate for prison reform, and aid the release of several other inmates.

Kim Kardashian West's law pursuits have already led to the release of several people who had been incarcerated unfairly for long periods of time, despite only committing minor or first offences.

The first case that Kim publicly address was that of Alice Marie Johnson, a great-grandmother who was serving a life sentence in prison for a nonviolent drug-related crime without possibility of parole. Understandably, Johnson's life has been transformed thanks to Kim, who she calls her "war angel."

And now, Johnson has made her modeling debut for Kim's latest venture, SKIMS Solutionwear. In a video shared on Instagram, Johnson posed in the SKIMS Sculpting Bodysuit, which will be released online on September 10, and discussed how much her life has changed since Kim helped to get her granted clemency and released from prison.

The video's caption noted the size inclusivity of SKIMS, with products running from an XXS to a 5XL. The caption said, "Real women, real stories: Alice Marie Johnson (@alicemariefree) wears the Sculpting Bodysuit Mid Thigh ($68 in sizes XXS - 5XL) in Onyx. #ShowYourSKIMS."
