Ali Wong, 40, is a very successful woman (and she'll tell you that in her own very hilarious way). In addition to paving a significant path in the comedy scene, Ali also makes her living through acting (ahem, if you haven't seen Beef, you need to watch), writing, and producing.

Although her career has really blown up over the last several years, Ali has been in showbiz for a while. Her earliest role was in 2011, per IMDb, and she started performing stand up when she was 23. With all of her hard work and success, and TBH, the way she talks about her wealth on stage, it's natural to wonder what her net worth is.

Here's everything you need to know about how the star makes her money.

She has three Netflix comedy specials.

If you were only recently introduced to the queen that is Ali Wong while streaming Beef, you're a little late to the party. Ali is probably most known for her career in comedy, and has three wildly successful specials on Netflix: Ali Wong: Baby Cobra, Ali Wong: Hard Knock Wife, and Ali Wong: Dong Wong.

It's not totally clear how much Ali made from each special, but she likely gets a significant income from them. In 2019, HBO Max and Netflix entered a bidding war for Ali's latest two specials. HBO Max reportedly offered an amount "north of $10 million" for the specials, and the deal Ali signed with Netflix was reportedly more than eight figures, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

That also means she tours.

Usually, you don't have a comedy special without a comedy tour—and Ali has gone on a few. She's even about to embark on another one later this month, simply called Ali Wong: Live. A ticket for admission to one of her shows starts at about $60, so touring likely makes up a significant amount of Ali's income.

Her latest tour, appropriately named the The Milk & Money Tour (which turned into her special Ali Wong: Dong Wong), probably brought in a significant amount of money, given the success of her Netflix specials (and that it sold out in most cities).

She acts.

Ali has a few acting credits, in addition to her latest role in Beef. The comedian starred in the ABC series American Housewife, and 12 episodes of Are You There, Chelsea?

She also led her own romantic comedy opposite Randall Park on Netflix, Always Be My Maybe (which she wrote and produced, NBD.) The rom-com def brought in bank for Netflix, and was watched in over 32 million households in its first four weeks on the platform, per Variety.

You may have heard her voice in one of your favorite shows.

In addition to her on screen performances, Ali is also a voice actress. You may recognize her voice in Big Mouth, Ralph Breaks The Internet, or Tuca & Bertie (which she executive produced).

Voice actors can make up to $200,000 per year, per Backstage, and it's likely Ali may have raked in more for her roles—considering her popularity and how popular her roles were.

She lives in Los Angeles.

Although Ali keeps her personal life pretty private, she does currently call Los Angeles home, and may have purchased a $1.1 million home with her now ex-husband Justin Hakuta in 2014. The house was sold again in 2021 for $1.9 million, according to Zillow.

She has a book.

Is there nothing Ali can't do? Probably not. In 2019, Ali released her first book Dear Girls: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets, and Advice For Living Your Best Life.

It became an instant New York Times Best Seller, so it probably provides decent passive income for Ali.

She even has her own merch.

If you like some of Ali's jokes, why not get them on a T-shirt? The comedian has a merch store filled with items mostly related to her comedy specials. Celebrities can make millions of dollars from merch, so it's likely this is a significant source of income for Ali, too.

Her net worth is reportedly $4 million.

Ali Wong's net worth is reportedly around $4 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Given the fact that she's about to embark on a huge tour, and is the lead of one of Netflix's most popular shows of the year so far, I'd say it'll only go up. You'll always be a queen, Ali!
