Country singer Jimmie Allen took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking family update with his fans. He and his wife, Alexis Gale, have decided to separate after nearly three years of marriage. Jimmie and Alexis also announced that they are expecting another baby, due later this year.

Jimmie shared the news with an emotional message. He wrote, "After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have made the decision to separate. As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year. Our number one priority is and always will be ensuring that our children are healthy, happy and loved, and we remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for one another. In light of our growing family, we respectfully request privacy during this time." Alexis posted the same message on her Instagram account.

Jimmie and Alexis both grew up in Milton, Delaware, but did not meet until 2019. After a whirlwind romance, Jimmie proposed at Disney World and the couple married in a secret ceremony in June 2020. They share two children, 3-year-old Naomi and 18-month-old Zara, and are expecting a third. Jimmie also has an 8-year-old son, Aadyn, from a previous relationship.

This year, Jimmie joined Carrie Underwood on her "Denim & Rhinestones" tour and appeared as a coach on the Apple TV+ music competition My Kind of Country. His latest single, "Be Alright," was released earlier this month.
