Alexis Bledel and her husband, Vincent Kartheiser are splitting up after 8 years of marriage.

According to documents obtained by US Weekly, Kartheiser filed for divorce from his wife on August 10, 2022, in New York with the Putnam County Supreme Court.

The pair met in 2012 on the set of Mad Men, where Kartheiser starred as Pete Campbell. Bledel joined the cast for Season 5, playing Campbell's mistress Beth Dawes.

The actor popped the question to the former Gilmore Girls actress back in March 2013 and they secretly tied the knot in 2014 in Ojai, California.

A year later, Bledel and Kartheiser welcomed a baby boy during the fall season, but kept the arrival hidden for months until Bledel's co-star, Scott Patterson (accidentally, hopefully?) let the cat out of the bag to Glamour in 2016.

“We’re comparing notes because my son is about a year and a half older than her young son. I’m showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We’re just really enjoying each other’s company,” Patterson inadvertently divulged to the publication at the time.

If you can't tell by all the secrets the couple shares, the two are known for keeping their private life under wraps.

Kartheiser spoke with Vulture back in 2014 to explain the reasoning behind it, stating, "It's something I realized about the most important things in my life."

"If I share them with the world and I open that door to their fuming anger that they need to get out or their adoration that they want to flaunt, it lessens it. It cheapens it; it weakens it. And it's magical, love, and all of that is...profoundly spiritual, and it just doesn't feel right," he continued.

The pair have yet to comment on their relationship status or news of the divorce filing.
