Alexandra Breckenridge & Co-Stars Embrace Their Silly Side in New ‘Virgin River’ BTS Photo

This behind-the-scenes photo is making us wonder whether the Virgin River cast is working hard…or hardly working.
This week, producers shared a never-before-seen picture on the show’s official Instagram account that demonstrates what really happens when the cameras stop rolling.
In the photo, Alexandra Breckenridge (who plays Melinda “Mel” Monroe) is impersonating Ben Stiller’s “Blue Steel” face from Zoolander. She’s joined by two of her Virgin River co-stars, Marco Grazzini (Mike Valenzuela) and Zibby Allen (Brie Sheridan). The trio are standing in front of a silver airstream that’s likely connected to Jack’s new glamping business.
The caption read, “Blue steel.”
The post comes a few days after Annette O’Toole (Hope McCrea) shared a different BTS photo of the Virgin River ladies.
In addition to O’Toole, it featured Teryl Rothery (Muriel), Christina Jastrzembska (Lydie), Gwynyth Walsh (Jo Ellen), Sarah Dugdale (Lizzie) and Nicola Cavendish (Connie). “Such a wonderful day with these women,” the caption read.
Martin Henderson (Jack) also shared a brand-new selfie on Instagram to kick off Virgin River season 5.
“Jack’s back! Day 1 of shooting #virginriver,” he wrote in the caption. “Season 5—feels good to slip back into Jack’s boots.”
The Virgin River cast is currently filming season 5 in Canada. Based on past seasons, the new installment is expected to premiere next summer. The story line is going to pick up where it left off in season 4, with Charmaine’s baby daddy confession.
