The show is honoring Trebek's legacy by sharing his first episode with the fans.

Longtime Jeopardy! fans who are still feeling the loss of the late, great Alex Trebek have a reason to celebrate today, as the show announced that it will air the former host's first-ever episode on the show's YouTube channel for free.

The official Jeopardy! Twitter account announced the amazing news, writing, "The year is 1984 Alex Trebek's first EVER Jeopardy! episode premieres tomorrow at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on YouTube in honor of JeoparDAY!"

The message also encouraged fans to subscribe to the Jeopardy! YouTube channel ahead of the episode's release.

Fans in the replies were a little confused about which episode will be airing, as Trebek taped two unaired pilots that have since surfaced online over the years, while there's also the official first episode of the reboot series.

Jeopardy! has not clarified which version it is, so fans will just have to wait and see on March 30, when the episode premieres on YouTube.

JeoparDAY is an annual tradition that started last year to celebrate the show on March 30, in honor of March 30, 1964, the day the first episode of the original show aired.

As a gift to fans, last year on March 30, Jeopardy! announced the Anytime Test, allowing those trying to compete on the show an extra chance to take the entrance test.

This tradition continues this year, with Trebek's first-ever episode as an extra gift for the fans.

Jeopardy! first started in 1964, hosted by Art Fleming, and continued on until 1979. It then took a short break, with Trebek coming on as the host for the revived version in 1984.

Trebek's first official episode as host originally aired on Sep. 10, 1984, and now newer fans can watch it again almost 40 years later.

After the beloved host's death in late 2020, Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik took over hosting duties of the popular game show.
