  • Alex Trebek hosted Jeopardy! for over three decades.

  • Throughout his time on the show, he amassed a wardrobe filled to the brim with business and business-casual attire.

  • Three months following his death, Jeopardy! announced that his son chose a place to donate his wardrobe to those in need.

It’s no secret that the world misses Alex Trebek. After 37 years hosting Jeopardy!, fans had come to know and love the TV star not only for his hosting skills but for how kind he was in real life, too. Although Alex sadly passed away three months ago, his legacy continues to shine on.

In a press release, Jeopardy! announced that the show and his family donated a “significant portion” of Alex’s Jeopardy! wardrobe — including suits, dress shirts, polos, sweaters, sports coats, belts, ties, dress shoes, and more — to The Doe Fund, an organization that helps folks with a history of addiction, homelessness, and incarceration get back on their feet. The fund — which was recommended by Alex’s son, who has been a supporter of its cause — provides paid work, housing, vocational training, continuing education, and social services to those in need.

"We are so grateful for JEOPARDY! and the Trebek family's commitment to lifting up the most vulnerable among us," Harriet McDonald, the president of The Doe Fund, said in the release. "The men in our career training programs are always in need of professional attire, so they can shine in their job interviews and work with confidence once they're hired. This donation alleviates the obstacle of not having appropriate clothing."
