Alex Rodriguez Was the Ultimate Fan During Jennifer Lopez’s VMAs Performance
Jennifer Lopez won the Video Vanguard Award at the 2018 VMAs, and gave a sweet shoutout to boyfriend Alex Rodriguez during her speech. “You are like my twin soul. We are like mirror images of each other,” she said. “My life is sweeter and better with you in it because you make me realize that every day, the sky is not the limit.”
And even before she started her speech, Rodriguez was the ultimate supportive boyfriend. The former baseball star was caught on camera filming her performance-and clearly was happy with what he saw.

This wasn’t the only time Rodriguez played the role of supportive boyfriend during the VMAs. He even snapped pictures of Lopez on the pink carpet earlier that night.
It turns out A-Rod had plenty of practice for his big night. He even Instagrammed a preview of what was to come, saying he was “practicing his fan boy selfies.”
