Alex Rodriguez Shared Never Before Seen Footage of His Proposal to Jennifer Lopez

2019 is coming to a close, and like everyone else on your Instagram feed, Alex Rodriguez has made a round-up of his personal favorite moments from the year. And one of them, of course, includes the time he got engaged to Jennifer Lopez. Casual!

While we've seen photos from the picturesque proposal before, this is the first time Rodriguez is sharing video of the moment, which can be seen in a montage he shared on Instagram on Tuesday. In the brief look (which seems to have been surreptitiously filmed behind some greenery), he can be seen getting down on one knee while Lopez puts a hand to her mouth in shock.

"What an amazing year it has been! As 2019 winds down, I am feeling so incredibly grateful and blessed," he captioned the post. "Looking back on these moments, I can’t help but smile from ear to ear. I am so lucky to be able to spend my life with those I love, doing what I love. Thank you all for following me around on this wonderful journey. Here’s to continued success and happiness in 2020!!!"

Rodriguez proposed to Lopez on a beach earlier this year, though the two have mentioned that a wedding may be some ways off from now.

In an interview with Evening Standard magazine in September, J.Lo said that wedding plans have taken a bit of a back seat as both she and A-Rod are busy with their careers.

"I have a movie I’m shooting in October [Marry Me, with Owen Wilson and Sarah Silverman] and the movie has an album that goes with it, so I’m just a little bit busy right now, and until October, he has the World Series in baseball," she said. "We’re going to have to pick a day, pick a time and block it out, but we’re definitely talking about it."
