Alex Rodriguez Says He’s “Not Single” Amid Jennifer Lopez Breakup Reports

It’s not over for Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez…at least, not according to A-Rod. While on his way into his gym in Coral Gables, Florida, he cleared up his relationship status. A photographer asked if he was single and he responded, “I’m not single,” in a video obtained by TMZ.
The paparazzi didn’t stop there though. They also captured him leaving the gym while on the phone. Alex tells the person he’s talking to that he’ll call them back and calls them “baby.” After being asked if J.Lo was on the phone, A-Rod laughed and nodded his head.
People, Us Weekly, Page Six, TMZ, and E! News previously confirmed that Jennifer and Alex split. However, they gave a statement to TMZ explaining that they’re still together. “All the reports are inaccurate,” the statement read. “We are working through some things.” TMZ was also told that what they’re working through has nothing to do with a third party.
The “third party” mentioned refers to the rumors that A-Rod was FaceTiming with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy. There’s been speculation that he was cheating with Madison, which she denies. “That’s the truth,” she previously said, adding they’ve “never been physical…never had any kind of anything. Just an acquaintance.”
Despite J.Lo and A-Rod trying to convince us that they’re still together, a source tells People that a split makes sense. “This has been a long time coming,” the insider says. “They are tied in their business worlds so it’s not a cut-and-dried breakup. It’s taken a while for them to even think about untangling it all.”
