Alessandra Ambrosio Gives the Biker Shorts Trend a Bright Upgrade in a Cropped Hoodie & Glowing Sneakers

Alessandra Ambrosio continued her streak of stylish athleisure this week as she ventured out once more in Los Angeles.

The Brazillian model decided on a bold workout-chic look for her outing on Tuesday, matching a neon orange $88 cropped hoodie to $56 white biker shorts, both from Alo Yoga.

Biker shorts rose to prominence in 2020 during a newfound appreciation for athleisure and comfortable attire, spotted on the likes of Hailey Baldwin, Tracee Ellis Ross, Emily Ratajkowski and a slew of other major celebs in the past year alone. In 2021, the easygoing silhouette is continuing to remain a staple in stars’ off-duty rotations as well.

To add to her trending athletic attire, Ambrosio herself then tapped Under Armour for a pair of all-white sneakers. The lace-up design came set atop a blown-out midsole with a textured outsole for traction; similar designs from the brand retail for $80 at UnderArmour.com.

When it comes to comfy off-duty attire, you can more recently find the former Victoria’s Secret Angel in a mix of Alo Yoga attire and athletic sneakers from all different brands. Her new two favorite silhouettes sustainable as well — think Allbirds Tree Dashers and Adidas by Stella McCartney UltraBoost Parle both made from recycled plastic.

Along with her title of a former Angel, Ambrosio has appeared in ad campaigns for Schutz, Jordache, XTI Shoes and Swarovski, among other brands. The model also launched her own swimwear line, Gal Floripa, last year with her best friend Gisele Cória and sister Aline Ambrosio.

When it comes to her personal shoe style, the Brazilian star can be found in a variety of looks, including casual sneakers by Common Projects and Golden Goose as well as bold picks like cherry red Giuseppe Zanotti heels. More recently, thong-toe sandals have become one of Ambrosio’s go-to shoes of choice throughout quarantine in addition to her big toe pairs. She owns multiple designs of classic flip flops from Havaianas of course, previously showing off all-black and other tan colorways, as well as a pair from Brazilian eco-friendly footwear brand Green Flip Flops, constructed with plant-based plastic.
