The first images for Alec Baldwin’s new movie have just dropped. Called Rust, it reveals the final work of late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was tragically killed by Baldwin in an accidental on-set incident.

In October 2021, while filming Rust in New Mexico, Baldwin inadvertently fired a live round from a prop gun, killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

Charges against Baldwin were eventually dropped, and work on Rust picked up the following month. Hutchins was replaced by Biana Cline, who saw out the remainder of the movie. These images, via Entertainment Weekly, are a combination of Cline and Hutchins’ work.

There’s a dark symmetry to the plot of the movie, which follows Baldwin’s character Harland Rust, an outlaw determined to save his grandson from being hanged for committing an accidental killing.

Rust does not have a release date but is expected to launch some time in 2024. But will it hit theatres or come to streaming? It's not clear at this point, In terms of what you can watch now, however, check out what's new on Netflix in January 2024.
