Ale-8-One re-releases popular soda flavor. Act fast, it’s likely to sellout

Fans of Winchester-based Ale-8-One can rejoice, because a popular alternative flavor of the Kentucky soda is making its return. But act fast, it will likely fly off store shelves.

Ale-8-One, the long-time gingery soda know for its high-caffeine kick, announced it’s re-releasing its blackberry seasonal flavor. Ale-8 Blackberry will be available to buy beginning May 13 for a limited time at local stores in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Tennesseeand online at ale8one.com.

Kevin Price, Ale-8-One chief marketing officer, said he expects Ale-8 Blackberry to sell out in the first weeks after launch at many store locations near Winchester.

The special soda was first released during Memorial Day weekend in 2022. Price said the company received a lot of positive feedback and the previous releases of Ale-8 Blackberry exceeded expectations.

“Bringing the flavor back is our effort to reciprocate the appreciation shown by our fans,” Price said.

Lexington residents reviewed the flavor for the Herald-Leader and had an overall positive reaction.

“It’s a crisp, refreshing blend of our secret Ale-8-One recipe and the flavor of fresh ripened blackberries that will remind you of summer blackberry picking in the Bluegrass,” Price said. “In short, it’s a refreshing, juicy treat.”

Ale-8-One recently re-released its special peach flavor in April. And like this blackberry re-release, Ale-8 Peach was available to buy at stores while supplies lasted.

Ale-8-One has previously featured special limited edition flavors of orange cream, cherry and the company’s founding flavor, Roxa Kola.

Cherry and orange cream are now a part of Ale-8-One’s regular production line, along with the original Ale-8-One, Ale-8 Zero Sugar, Cherry Ale-8 Zero Sugar, Heritage Ale-8 and Caffeine Free Ale-8 Zero Sugar.
