Aldi Is Selling Almond Nog That's A Perfect Non-Dairy Option

From House Beautiful

Good news, non-dairy drinkers: Aldi is selling an eggnog alternative called Almond Nog. Whether you’re lactose intolerant or follow a vegan lifestyle, this might be the answer to any eggnog cravings you have this holiday season.

The nog by the brand Friendly Farms is dairy-free, lactose-free, soy-free, gluten-free, and egg-free, to be exact! It comes in a 32-ounce carton with festive little designs on it, including a squirrel, teapot, mug, house, trees, snowflakes, and almonds. On the carton, it promises to be a rich and creamy beverage that’s ready to drink–yes, even straight from the carton if you're into that.

Luckily, plenty of Aldi shoppers have tried the nog in the past. On an Instagram post from @aldi.mademedoit, one person shared that they bought regular eggnog and the almond version to compare. “The almond nog is way less calories, however, the regular one was so thick and creamy and you really miss that in the almond,” they commented. “Overall, I did like the almond nog and used it as a coffee creamer!!”

Others confirmed that the almond nog isn’t as thick as regular eggnog. That could be good or bad depending on your consistency preferences. As far as taste goes, some people say it tastes the same as typical eggnog. Apart from drinking it as is, one Aldi shopper drank it over ice with spiced rum and cinnamon. Another used it as French toast batter. You gotta love a versatile drink!
