Stylish flats are such a great closet staple to have. If you get the right ones, they can be comfortable while also dressing up an outfit or making it more professional-looking. And you don’t have to go with boring ones either; choosing funky designs, bright colors, or fun styles like a pointed-toe or fancy d’Orsay flat (more on what that means later) can make any footwear collection seem very unboring.

If you’re looking for trendy footwear, Aldi’s upcoming Aldi Finds selection (for the week of April 14 - April 23) has flats that look so similar to styles by J. Crew, Nine West and Target for a lot more affordable price: the Serra Ladies Flats for only $7.99. They come in ladies' sizes 7-10 and four different styles that are either pointed-toe flats or d’Orsay flats.

According to Merriam-Webster, d’Orsay is a style of shoe where there’s a “circular vamp and a quarter that curves to meet the vamp at the shank line.” This just means that there’s a gap at your arch, between the part of the shoe that covers your toes and the part that covers the back of your foot. These shoes are also made with a padded insole and a .5-inch heel “for comfort.”

As stated before, there will be four different variations of flats with this drop. Two are pointed-toe ballet flats; one is black and metallic with a small velour bow near the toes and the other is a deep royal blue with a few crisscrossed fabric lines across the toes. Then there are two d’Orsay pointed ballet flats. One is in faux leather that’s a “ginger” color, which looks like a chic cognac or reddish-brown. And lastly, the other d’Orsay pointed flat is a black and white polka dot pattern that looks more like a speckled egg.

One of the closest flats to the d’Orsay variants of these Aldi flats is by J. Crew, called the Zoe d'Orsay flats. They cost about $69.50 to $69.99 at J. Crew Factory and come in three colors. These are made with polyester and have a low heel as well.

There is also the Nine West Saige d'Orsay Flat, which is currently $58.99 at DSW. These are made with synthetic faux leather in black and off-white (which is more like a beige). These also have a lightly cushioned insole and more of a heel (.75 inch).

Lastly, probably the most similar flats to Aldi’s (and the closest in price) is the Women's Julie Ballet Flats by Target’s brand, A New Day. They’re $19.99 and come in three colors, including a cognac that is very similar to Aldi’s “ginger” flats. But instead of a faux leather material, Target’s flats have a suede-looking material made from 100% polyester.
