Update, October 23, 2020: If you live for holiday drinks–especially eggnog of the boozy variety–you need drop everything immediately and make your way to an Aldi near you. That's right, the chain's bottles of boozy eggnog are back on shelves for the holiday season.

Instagrammer @aldi.mademedoit recently spotted the bottles made by Holly Hill Farms. If you don't recall from last year, the drink has a 13.9 percent ABV and is made of egg yolk, white wine, cream, and festive spices (think: cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and clove). It cost $7 a bottle last year, so it's likely very affordable again this year in typical Aldi fashion.

Halloween hasn't even happened yet, but it's never too early to start drinking boozy eggnog to get into the holiday spirit, I guess! If Aldi says the holidays are here, then the holidays are here.

Original post, December 13, 2019: Eggnog fanatics now have yet another option when it comes to stoking up on boozy eggnog this year, and it’s all thanks to Aldi. The supermarket chain joins Costco and Sam’s Club in selling alcoholic eggnog that you can sip all holiday season long.

Made by Holly Hill Farms, the drink is a blend of egg yolk, white wine, cream, and festive spices (cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and clove—the usual suspects). The drink only costs $7 a bottle. Considering it’s 13.9 percent ABV, you won’t need much of it to get in the holiday spirit.

The eggnog comes from Germany and is reportedly best paired with creme brûlée, strawberry shortcake, or some mixed berries. To really get into the spirit, you can also just have at it on its own while cozied up in a blanket and watching a holiday movie.

Aldi’s sweet, sweet deal seems to be the cheapest alcoholic eggnog around. Based on the looks of it, though, Sam’s Club and Costco’s bottles seem bigger and they both have a higher ABV. That said, it feels like all of them should be tried, right? It only makes sense to buy all of them and compare who’s selling the best one. Sorry, I don’t make the rules!

If you really want to have control over your ‘nog, you can always try making it yourself. That way, you're handling all of the ingredients and the amount of each in the drink.

Either way, ‘tis the season to stock up on boozy holiday drinks! Cheers!
