Aldi Is Selling a $15 Metal Raised Planter That's Similar to a Home Depot Style 7x the Price

Aldi loves to drop the perfect seasonal items in their weekly Aldi Finds. And for summer, that means the cutest and most useful planters and gardening equipment. If you’ve missed some of their other planters, their upcoming mini raised planter is not only cute but an affordable option for people looking to start a tiny garden. Plus it looks a lot like a Home Depot planter that is seven times the price.
Starting May 29 and going through June 4, Aldi will be selling the Belavi Mini Raised Planter for $14.99 in their Aldi Finds section. While wooden planters aren’t for everyone, this one is made from galvanized, powder-coated sheet metal so that it’s “weather and frost-resistant,” making it durable all year round. It measures 23.6 inches wide by 10.6 inches wide and 17.71 inches tall and is described as “lightweight, quick and easy to assemble.”

The cuteness factor of this planter isn’t just in its mini size, but also in its color options. It comes in black, white and mint, with all of them being aesthetically pleasing. The mint, in particular, is pretty cute and trendy. This mini planter holds about 5.28 gallons worth of soil and plants (or whatever you want to put in it). It also has a hook and drain hole plug so that your plants aren’t overwatered.
Even though Aldi products don’t have reviews on their site, and their Aldi Finds are only there for a week or so, it can be hard to know how good a product is. But what is nice is that Aldi brings products back seasonally or yearly, and this mini raised planter has appeared in Aldi stores in the past. On TikTok, user @txmamashopsndiys posted about the planters in 2022 and showed how she used her Cricut to make cute labels for the different herbs and veggies she was planting in her garden. And Elvira Gallegos on YouTube posted a video last June about how she used her mini raised planter as a beverage holder.
Gray Metal Elevated Garden Bed, $107 at Home Depot
As we mentioned before, there are a lot of other planters that are really similar but a lot more expensive. One product that Aldi’s planter is comparable to is the Gray Metal Elevated Garden Bed sold on Home Depot’s website. It’s very similar in size; this one measures 24 inches wide by 10.5 inches wide by 17.5 inches tall; its bed is 5.9 inches. It’s made from metal, just like Aldi’s, and comes in some bright colors like pink, red and blue (along with gray and blue/gray).
If you’re planning an indoor garden or want a cute planter on your porch or in your yard, Aldi’s Belavi Mini Raised Planter is a good deal. Considering other similar products are much more expensive, and the metal makes for a pretty durable planter, what’s there to lose?
