Though the holiday season is fun and festive, it can be a little tricky for people who are gluten-free. Desserts and treats abound all winter-long, and it’s hard to be sure which ones are safe to eat, if any at all. Luckily, Aldi always remembers to make sure gluten-free folks have a way to satisfy their sweet tooth, and right now a beloved gluten-free dessert is back on shelves for a limited time.

The Return of Aldi’s Gluten-Free Holiday Donuts

Aldi customers can delight in the return of liveGfree’s gluten-free donuts, which are back just in time for holiday season. Each box is 10.5 ounces and contains half a dozen donuts, which is a great deal considering its impressively low price of $4.49. The liveGfree donuts come in three festive seasonal flavors: gingerbread, pumpkin, and cranberry. All of the donuts have a glaze on top reminiscent of Krispy Kreme, so you will want to share with your family and friends (even the ones who aren’t gluten-free). And because they are kosher, they’re perfect for Hanukkah celebrations in addition to any and all other holiday festivities.

If you’re thinking about stocking up on Aldi’s gluten-free donuts, you’ll want to head to the Aldi Finds freezers soon because they’re only in-store for a short time. Last year they sold out quickly, so it’s likely this year they’ll do the same. Store them in the freezer for a festive gluten-free treat all year-round. While you’re in the frozen food aisle, consider stocking up on vanilla ice cream so you can make donut ice cream sandwiches, an even more decadent seasonal dessert.

Aldi has a reputation for its fantastic desserts, including a gelato flight that includes pumpkin pie, candy cane, and eggnog-flavored gelato. On the other hand, if you’re thinking about making some gluten-free desserts from scratch this holiday season, consider trying gluten-free vegan gingerbread, a gluten-free Dutch baby, or a gluten-free pumpkin pie.
