Aldi has some of the best food finds for unbeatable prices, but that’s no secret. From Clancy’s hint of lime tortilla chips to bacon-wrapped sea scallops and Season’s Choice mixed vegetables, your weekly grocery trip can be a little more exciting than just your standard milk, bread, and eggs. And the latest food finds just keep rolling in, including the comeback of Season’s Choice eggplant fries that look almost too good to be true.

Spotted by Instagram account @aldiallthetime, the fan-favorite Italian-style breaded eggplant fries are back at the grocer — you can find them in the freezer section. The Instagram account recommends air-frying them to reach maximum crispiness, but you can also bake them in a convection oven for about 20 minutes. I can imagine these would be delicious served with a side of marinara and even a little cheese for a bite-size version of eggplant Parmesan. Or you can chop them up and add to pasta or use as a pizza topping.

There’s even a Reddit thread solely dedicated to the product — people love these fries that much! “Oh yes, this is a go-to snack for me. Crisp them in the air fryer and then dip in some warm marinara. Absolutely delicious,” wrote one user.

“I really liked these and they crisped up in my convection toaster oven (air fryer mimics convection, so the same). I love eggplant and this was really hitting the spot. I used some pizza sauce to dip them in. Would buy again,” said another buyer.

If you’re a fan of zucchini fries, you’ll probably like these. And while we don’t know the exact price this year, last year the fries retailed for $3.99 per box, according to a TikTok. These would be a great choice as an appetizer if you’re hosting, but you may want to buy a couple of boxes — they will be gone before you know it.
