As the Boeing 737 MAX 9 returns to service, Alaska is expressing its gratitude to loyal fliers with two new limited-time promotions.

“Our full schedule is returning,” the airline stated on its website about the sale. “We are returning to the reliable operation that you've come to expect from Alaska.”

For starters, Alaska is offering up to 30 percent off flights for travel between Feb. 8 and March 31. The sale must be booked by tomorrow, Jan. 31, at 11:59 p.m. PT using promo code “THANKYOU30.”

There are several blackout dates for this sale, including Feb. 16 to 24 for all markets, as well as March 6 to 13 for flights departing or returning to the state of Alaska.

Some Alaska fliers have even been targeted with a rare 40 percent off sale sent to their emails. But the best publicly available discount, which is 30 percent off flights, applies to the following routes and days:

  • Travel to Hawaii, Florida, Latin America, and The Bahamas: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays

  • Travel from Hawaii, Florida, Latin America, and The Bahamas: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

  • Travel to/from all other Alaska Airlines-operated flights (except Prudhoe Bay, Alaska): Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays

On all other routes not listed above, a 10% discount will apply on flights when using the same promotion code directly through Alaska’s website.

The savings can be stacked with another limited-time offer to earn double elite qualifying miles (EQMs) across all Alaska-marketed and -operated flights during the month of February. Travelers need to earn 20,000 EQMs in a year to earn MVP, the lowest level of Mileage Plan elite status, which confers access to space-available upgrades, free checked bags, and more.

A system-wide travel waiver on Alaska Airlines is still in place for those scheduled to fly until Friday, Feb. 2, allowing passengers to change or cancel their trips without a fee.
