Alaska Airlines' Latest Sale Has Flights for As Low As $39 — but You'll Have to Act Fast

The sale, with discounted flights across nearly its entire network, ends tomorrow.

Airlines continue to roll out deals to jumpstart bookings in the New Year.

Alaska Airlines' "2024 Takeoff Sale" has flight deals available from nearly all of the 115 destinations Alaska flies to. 

The sale is currently available until tomorrow, Jan. 5, at 11:59pm. The discounted flights vary in departure dates with the top deals including:

  • Las Vegas to Los Angeles for $39 or 4,500 miles

  • Austin to San Diego $69

  • Tucson,to Orange County, California for $69

  • Austin to Portland, Oregon for $99

  • New York (JFK) to Palm Springs for $149

  • New York (JFK) to San Diego for $119 or 10,000 miles

  • Anchorage, AK to Honolulu for $232

The fare sale also extends beyond cash transactions, as members of Alaska's Loyalty Plan can redeem miles for discounted rates for some of the flights.

Alaska Airlines is based in Seattle, WA and operates a fleet of 231 Boeing 737 aircraft and 83 Embraer 175 aircraft. The airline recently made headlines for a proposed purchase of Hawaiian Airlines, which is currently subject to government approval. 

Beyond the domestic and international destinations Alaska Airlines serves, the airline has an extensive route map within Alaska servicing Barrow (known for views of the Northern Lights), and Kodiak (known for fishing and hiking) from Anchorage. 

The airline has been expanding its flights operations with the announcement of flights from New York JFK to Anchorage, Alaska with daily service starting on June 13, 2024, and a new partnership with Porter Airlines in Canada to provide flights to Toronto.
