Alaska Airlines is celebrating Canada Day this week with a great sale on flights to and from America's northern neighbor.

The airline is offering 25% off flights between the United States and Canada through the end of the holiday on July 1, according to the carrier. To take advantage of the sale, travelers can book using the code "CANADA" and must travel on Mondays through Thursdays or on Saturdays from Sept. 7 through Nov. 16.

"Vancouver and Victoria and Calgary — oh, fly!" the airline tweeted. "We're celebrating Canada Day with 25% off Fall flights."

The sale is good on flights between anywhere Alaska Airlines flies and Vancouver, Victoria, and Kelowna in British Columbia; as well as Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta. The sale is not valid on flights to or from Prudhoe Bay on the northern coast of Alaska. The sale is also not valid on blackout dates from Oct. 10 to Oct. 12.

Canada Day, which takes place on July 1, celebrates national pride on the same day the country was created when The British North America Act was signed (which is now known as the Constitution Act, 1867), according to the Canadian government.

The sale comes months after Canada dropped pre-arrival testing requirements for fully vaccinated travelers, making it easier to visit. Earlier this month, the U.S. also stopped requiring returning travelers to get tested before flying back into the country.

Travelers flying on Alaska Airlines will notice less plastic on board the company's aircraft as the airline has eliminated all plastic water bottles on board and replaced them with boxed water as well as eliminated plastic straws and stir sticks. Frequent flyers on the West Coast will also be tempted by the carrier's subscription-based Flight Pass option, which allows California travelers to fly throughout the state, to Phoenix, to Las Vegas, and to Reno for as low as $49 per month.
