While we can't wait to hear Beyoncé's rendition of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" in the upcoming live-action remake of The Lion King, there's another film we're looking forward to: Aladdin.

Disney just released an updated version of "A Whole New World" for the live-action remake set to premiere May 24. The track, which was released alongside a music video, is a duet between former One Direction member Zayn Malik and singer-songwriter Zhavia Ward.

The cover puts a modern pop spin on the classic song, which was written by legendary Disney composer Alan Menken for the 1992 movie, and recorded by voice actors Brad Kane and Lea Salonga. And this spectacular new version has some big shoes to fill: the original song went on to win the 1993 Oscar for Best Original Song.

“The selection of artists, producer and tonal direction was critical for the success of updating a classic song like this,” the president of Walt Disney Studios Music & Soundtracks, Mitchell Leib, said in a statement. “Zayn’s vocals are like no other and his artistic imprint immediately brought a contemporary and diverse presence.”

The new Aladdin will hit theaters on May 24, and stars Mena Massoud in the title role alongside Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Will Smith as Genie. It's the latest in a long line of live-action adaptations of Disney classics. The Lion King and Lady and the Tramp are up next, while Tim Burton's Dumbo came out at the end of March.

Altogether, it's a pretty exciting time to be a Disney fan, especially when, once again, you remember that Beyoncé herself is in The Lion King! Do we dare hope for a Bey cover of "Circle of Life"?
