Al Roker's Son Is All Grown Up in New Vacation Pic
It's amazing how much someone can grow in nine years when you look at a side-by-side photo.
One thing that people can surely say about Al Roker is that he's a family man, and he's always proud of their accomplishments, both big and small.
Roker recently went on vacation with his wife, Deborah Roberts, and their son Nick, 20. During the trip, the Today weatherman reflected on how much his son has grown since a previous vacation in 2014, showing side-by-side photos of the big change.
In the first photo, a young Nick, likely around 11 years old, smiles at the camera with his father, standing a handful of inches below Roker.
The second photo shows just how much that changed, as Nick now towers over his father, who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. In contrast, Nick is almost a head taller than Roker.
The 68-year-old joked in the caption, "Really not much difference when Nick and I were here in 2014 and today, right? #thenandnow #pollypocketdad."
Many parents in the comments related to Roker, with one writing, "Just a slight change. Happens overnight it seems. Doesn't it?"
Another joked, "I think you shrunk!"
Others were just excited to see the family enjoying some quality time together, especially after Roker's recent health struggles.
"So glad you have this special time together. Making great memories," said one fan.
Roker didn't share where the family is on vacation, but it looks amazing, with a beautiful pool, tall palm trees, and a bright blue ocean behind them.
The Today star shared more vacation photos earlier in the day, showing off a couple of snaps with both Roberts and Nick.
He captioned the family pictures, "When the kids are old enough that vacation really is vacation!!"
Roker and Roberts also share a daughter named Leila, 24, and Roker has another daughter, Courtney, 35, whom he shares with ex-wife Alice Bell. It appears that neither Courtney nor Leila joined them on the tropical trip.
