Al Roker Shares Relatable Snap of His Grumpy Granddaughter

Al Roker may be able to put a smile on just about anyone's face, but his newborn granddaughter just isn't feeling it right now.
The Today Show weatherman recently shared a glimpse at his granddaughter Sky's one-month photoshoot—but unfortunately, the little one wasn't in the mood to smile for the camera.
In the perfectly relatable Instagram photo, Sky, who is the first child of Roker's daughter Courtney Roker and her husband Wesley Laga, looked visibly distraught to be having her picture taken, as the infant appeared to be letting out some crying screams instead of saying "cheese."
"My little Sky not so happy about the photo shoot Mom and Dad set up," Roker, 68, captioned his post on Friday, Aug 4, which seemed to have resonated with his followers, especially those who know what it's like to have grumpy days.
"She is all of us ❤️," commented Roker's fellow Today personality Savannah Guthrie.
"Who says you have to smile💜🫶", one of his followers chimed in.
"Look at that face!" someone else pointed out while joking, "NEVER discuss a woman's age!!!"
"She looks just like you on a rainy morning 😂😂," another follower quipped.
Roker welcomed the arrival of his new grandbaby last month, calling it a "magical" experience to become a pop-pop.
"The thing is, everyone tells you it’s going to be 'this thing' and you don’t know; it’s like when they tell you about having your first child," he previously told his Today show co-anchors during a broadcast in July. "And then to hold this little girl, knowing almost 35 years ago I held her mom? And here she is, 5 lbs., 15 oz. 19 inches long, and she’s just perfect."
"Welcome to the world, Sky Clara Laga," he wrote in an Instagram post on July 5. "In love all over again."
"Thank you, Courtney and Wes for such a perfect blessing," he added at the time. "[Your] baby is beautiful. Already planning the ways to spoil her and then hand her back."
