The 'Today' show star revealed some very exciting news about his daughter.

After serious health struggles at the end of last year, Today show star Al Roker is enjoying a very exciting start to 2023, with his eldest daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, revealing that she is pregnant with her first child with husband Wesley Laga.

Courtney, 36, announced the news on her Instagram with a montage of personal photos and videos, including a sonogram and ultrasound photo.

She captioned the post, "A new adventure is about to begin ❤️🍼."

Roker couldn't help but share his excitement and love in the comments, writing, "Here we go!!! So very very happy!!!!! You guys."

He also shared the grandparent name he hopes the child uses, commenting, "Going for Pop-Pop."

Courtney's step-mom Deborah Roberts also commented to celebrate the news, writing, "This is so very exciting!!! 😍😍."

The weatherman shares Courtney with ex-wife Alice Bell, while he has two more children, Leila, 24, and Nicholas, 20, with Roberts.

The mom-to-be spoke with TODAY.com about the big news, saying, “We are extremely excited to welcome a new member into our family and start this next chapter in our lives. We feel truly blessed and excited for our little miracle.”

The amazing news of Roker becoming a grandparent is a great change of pace for the 68-year-old and his family, as the Today star faced life-threatening health problems during his absence from the show last year.

In early 2023, Roker and Roberts detailed how serious the situation really was, with Roberts saying, “And I have to say, I’m not overstating it — I don’t think — Al was a very, very, very sick man. And I think most people did not know that."

Roker later revealed that he didn't even realize how bad it was, with his wife shielding him from the worst of it: "I guess I know it now. I didn’t know it at the time. Deborah was great at keeping all that away from me so I thought I was doing OK but that was great because I was able to focus on getting better."

Luckily, Roker is on the mend and happier than ever with the news that he will be a grandparent soon.
