Al Pacino and Shia LeBeouf are set to star in a film about JFK’s assassination. Called Assassination, it’ll take on one of the most shocking events of the 20th century.

As reported by Deadline, Assassination “tells the story of how infamous Chicago mobster Sam Giancana arranged the assassination of President John F. Kennedy as payback for trying to bring down organized crime after the mob helped put JFK in the White House.” Al Pacino will reportedly play Tony Accardo, a senior mob boss.

Assassination certainly has some experience behind the camera, too. It’s being directed by 81-year-old Academy Award winner Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Good Morning, Vietnam), and scripted by 75-year-old David Mamet (Glengarry, Glen Ross), a two-time Oscar nominee and Pulitzer Prize winner. The pair collaborated previously on 1997 political satire Wag the Dog.

The film doesn’t have a release date yet. Speaking of historical dramas, check out The Crown season 6 images released by Netflix recently.
