‘Dancing With the Stars’ Just Announced All the Cast Members for Season 29, Including Carole Baskin

From Cosmopolitan

  • Season 29 of Dancing With the Stars is set to premiere at 8 p.m. ET on September 14 on ABC.

  • As of right now, five celebrity cast members have been confirmed, but that’ll change soon.

If there’s a single good thing we can count on in 2020, it’s that Dancing With the Stars is returning to nighttime television in *just* enough time to save this dumpster fire of a year. Season 29 is set to premiere at 8 p.m. ET on September 14 on ABC, so get ready—it’s gonna be a good one. As usual, we can expect our fave judges—Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli—to return, but who TF is competing for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy this cycle?

ABC just dropped the full list of celebrity guests confirmed to appear on Dancing With the Stars for this fall 2020 season, so read on, my friend.

Kaitlyn Bristowe

Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe, who has wanted to compete on this show forever, is joining the cast! On June 15, Kaitlyn shared a cute video of herself and her boyfriend, Jason Tartick, being excited that she’s finally getting her wish to compete.

AJ McLean

AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys is also set to compete for the Mirrorball Trophy this year. He confirmed his spot on the show with an Instagram of his own.

“We’re going for the Mirrorball, baby!! I am so grateful to @DancingABC and @ABCNetwork for the opportunity to be joining this season’s cast of #DWTS,” he wrote. “I also want to thank my wife and my two girls for letting Daddy go on this new adventure. I’m doing it ALL for you! Get ready, BSB Army, this is going to be a wild ride. LET’S DO THIS!!!!!!”

Anne Heche, Vernon Davis, and Jesse Metcalfe

Us Weekly announced that Dancing With the Stars cast Anne, Vernon, and Jesse before the show made a formal confirmation (eek!) when the outlet confirmed they’re set to put on their dancing shoes this season.

Carole Baskin, Monica Aldama, and Chrishell Stause

It’s official—this season of DWTS is going to be GOOD. Good Morning America rolled out the final few celeb contestants, and whew, is this season’s cast stacked! Despite probably being under investigation by the FBI, Tiger King’s Carole has secured a coveted spot on the show. Monica thee Aldama from Netflix’s Cheer is also joining the cast, and I just know her moves are going to be tight as hell. And just when you thought you couldn’t get enough of Selling Sunset, Chrishell is going to be competing for the Mirrorball Trophy too! Yep, this is what dreams are made of.

Skai Jackson, Nelly, and Nev Schulman

Looks like Skai and Nev took a break from exposing racist college students on Twitter and uncovering catfishing couples long enough to compete on DWTS. And I legit did not know that Nelly of “Hot in Herre” fame knew how to dance, but it looks like we’re gonna find out!

We also have these celebs joining the cast:

  • Jennie Mai, from The Real

  • Charles Oakley, former NBA player

  • Johnny Weir, two-time Olympic skater and LGBTQ+ activist

  • Justina Machado, from Six Feet Under, Queen of the South, and One Day at a Time

And, of course, the pros

DWTS did us a solid and dropped the list of pros ahead of the celebrities, so here’s who’s returning:

  • Alan Bersten

  • Artem Chigvintsev

  • Brandon Armstrong

  • Cheryl Burke

  • Emma Slater

  • Gleb Savchenko

  • Jenna Johnson

  • Keo Motsepe

  • Pasha Pashkov

  • Peta Murgatroyd

  • Sasha Farber

  • Sharna Burgess

  • Val Chmerkovskiy

Lindsay Arnold and Witney Carson would have returned, but they’re sitting this one out because they’re both pregnant! Instead, Britt Stewart and Daniella Karagach will join the DWTS pro troupe for the first time.

Can’t wait to see who wins the Mirrorball Trophy!
