The New Airheads Filled Ropes Come in 5 Flavors, Including Bluest Raspberry
Airheads is known for its chewy, fruity taffy-like candy that comes in an assortment of flavors. The brand has introduced new forms of the candy over the years, including Bites, Soft Filled Bites, Gummies, Xtremes, and more. To add to its portfolio, Airheads will launching Filled Ropes this year.
The Airheads Filled Ropes come in five flavors: Bluest Raspberry, Cherry, Watermelon, Strawberry, and Orange. The Original Fruit flavors are long, skinny candies (hence the name) that are different colors on the outside with a white center. It appears that there is some sort of sweet or sour element sprinkled on the outside as well.
“Our research indicates this latest Airheads innovation will also drive category growth, with 64% of shoppers saying they would purchase Airheads Filled Ropes in addition to their current non-chocolate products,” Rachel Champers, V.P. of marketing for Perfetti Van Melle, said in a statement.
The Airhead Filled Ropes are expected to be available nationwide in late 2020. You’ll be able to find them in 2-ounce showbox packs ($1.09), which includes one of each flavor, so you can taste them all and find your favorite, and 5-ounce bags ($2.09).
