Airbnb Invites You to Sleep Over in an Up House Replica, the Musée D’Orsay, and Other Dreamy Spaces

Airbnb is about to make a couple thousand lucky fans’ dreams come to life.
The online travel accommodations booking platform announced their latest promotion, Icons, “a new category of extraordinary experiences hosted by the greatest names in music, film, television, art, sports, and more,” per a release. This group of listings is rolling out with 11 overnight stays at some extraordinary locales—among them, an exact replica of one of Disney and Pixar’s most beloved movie homes: Carl’s house from the 2009 animated comedy Up, complete with 8,000 balloons and a giant crane suspension that’ll take you 50 feet in the air (for the full Up effect).
Other offerings include a sleepover at the clock room in Paris’s iconic Musée D’Orsay, where French designer Mathieu Lehanneur, who dreamed up the Olympic torch and cauldron for Paris 2024, converted the intimate space into an ethereal contemporary guest room. The experience also features the opportunity to witness this year’s historic opening ceremony for the Olympic Games along the River Seine from the D’Orsay’s rooftop, as well as an exclusive tour of the museum. There’s also the chance to stay in a recreation of X-Men ’97’s “X-Mansion” in Westchester, New York.
“Icons take you inside worlds that only existed in your imagination—until now,” said Brian Chesky, Airbnb cofounder and CEO. “As life becomes increasingly digital, we’re focused on bringing more magic into the real world.”
Airbnb’s chief business officer, Dave Stephenson, told Yahoo Finance that after the company’s success with last year’s Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse stay and a promotion inviting guests to plan a trip to Shrek’s Swamp, “We felt like we could do much more, have many more routine drops.”
According to Airbnb, new “Icons” will drop on their site throughout the year, and potential guests can sign up to be notified when each goes live. A fortunate 4,000 folks who request bookings at their favorite spaces will be chosen by Airbnb for a stay. All of the stays are priced under $100 and most will be free. Each can be booked directly from the platform’s app.
“These experiences capture people’s imagination,” Chesky said in an announcement. “They allow people to step into someone else’s world, and at its best, this is what Airbnb does.”

The Ferrari Museum
Immerse yourself in the world of racing with a stay at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, Italy. You’ll sleep on a bed crafted from the same leather as Ferrari seats, take a lap with Scuderia Ferrari driver Marc Gené and head to Emilia-Romagna’s premier race as a VIP.

Go VIP with Kevin Hart
Kevin Hart is taking guests inside his members-only Coramino Live Lounge for an A-list evening. Guests will be treated to a tequila tasting and live stand-up by the best comedians in the game with Hart and his friends in this secret speakeasy.
Game with Khaby Lame
TikTok sensation Khaby Lame invites guests to his hometown of Milan for an epic overnight gaming experience. You can enter for a chance to stay in a one-of-a-kind gaming loft that Lame designed himself, where you’ll #learnfromkhaby and face off with him in a Fortnite Battle Royale.
Go on tour with Feid
Guests will have the chance to join the reggaeton superstar on his Ferxxocalpsis World Tour for an entire week. Those selected can tag along with the crew for rehearsals, ride along on the tour bus, and get backstage access for every show.
