Jordan Brand’s summer slate of sneakers is expanding to include a brand-new colorway for the Air Jordan 5.

The Air Jordan 5 “Sail” features a tonal look made up of off-white shades. The namesake color forms the leather upper, while “Coconut Milk” and “Light Orewood Brown” accents include the signature midfoot netting, lace toggle and eyelets. Small hits of black include the branding, lining and the midsole’s speckled shark teeth motif. Translucent, off-white rubber is used for portions of the outsole, and the tongue features exposed foam to cement a vintage aesthetic.

Although this edition of the Air Jordan 5 is new, the model is no stranger to “Sail” treatments. An Off-White collaboration from 2020 made heavy use of the color along with more dramatic appeals to faux-aging and circular windows that designer Virgil Abloh encouraged wearers to cut out. DJ Khaled also featured the shade on his own Air Jordan 5 collaboration in 2022, while a similar look to this year’s release can also be found on the “Craft Light Orewood Brown” variant from 2023.

“Sail” is also the third version of the Air Jordan 5 to release this year, following “Lucky Green” in February and the first-ever reissue of the “Olive” pair from 2006 in March.

The Air Jordan 5 “Sail” will release April 13 through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $210.
