A Chromed-Out Air Jordan 1 Sneaker Will Release in April

Last week, Jordan Brand previewed its entire slate of retro Air Jordan releases for the summer season. Among the standouts was a chromed-out Air Jordan 1 High, which has now been confirmed for an early-April launch.

As the name suggests, the Air Jordan 1 High “Chrome” features a metallic look for the entire leather upper. The “Wings” logo has also been retooled as a metal badge help form what has to be the shiniest Air Jordan 1 ever made. A white tongue, laces and midsole dial down the effect, while the translucent outsole takes on a grey tone.

Leaked images have also shown the chrome look coming to the Air Jordan 1 Mid and Air Jordan Low, but neither feature a full application of the crinkled, metallic leather across their uppers. And even though this release will be exclusive to women, the unique nature of this makeover should have plenty of dudes finding out how to convert their size.

In addition to the “Chrome” edition, Jordan Brand’s summer lineup will also include “Green Glow,” “Artisanal Red” and “Latte” editions of the Air Jordan 1 High — the former two which got an early release to coincide with last week’s preview on the Snkrs app.

The Air Jordan 1 High Women’s “Chrome” will release April 10 through the Snkrs app. Pricing is set at $180.
