The Ahwahnee Hotel Dining Room

When you walk into the Ahwahnee Hotel Dining Room, you’ll be amazed by its beautiful interior, which was built in the 1920s. Original gothic-style chandeliers, exposed stonework and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to Glacier Point make the Ahwahnee Dining Room restaurant an icon of Yosemite National Park.

"The dining room at The Ahwahnee Hotel is really a destination of its own," says Lisa Cesaro, Aramark’s senior director of marketing.

The menu is seasonal, but seafood and chicken cooked on the restaurant's rotisserie are always available, as are options for those with dietary restrictions.

Make sure to save room for dessert because the most popular item at the hotel is the boysenberry pie.

"It's been on the menu for more than 50 years, and it's a staple here at the hotel," Cesaro says.

For more casual or quick dining options, grab a sandwich from Dengan's Deli in Yosemite Village or stop at the park's grocery store before hitting the trails.

After exploring the great outdoors, kick back with local beer on tap at Curry Village's Pizza Deck.

"A lot of times when you do that really long hike up to Half Dome it's kind of a celebration to head over to the Pizza Deck and celebrate your big day," Cesaro says.

Built in 1927, The Ahwahnee Hotel was designed to attract wealthy visitors to the park. Its architectural style was inspired by Art Deco, Arts and Crafts Movement and Native American and Middle Eastern elements. Today, it remains a world-class venue to dine and stay. Located in the Yosemite Valley, there is a shuttle stop right there, which enables you to leave your car and explore the park without worrying about parking at busy trailheads.

Don't miss out by showing up without Ahwahnee Dining Room reservations. They are strongly recommended as this elegant restaurant is extremely popular.
