On October 19, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel will celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary—and, in honor of the milestone, the actress is sharing the details of how her now-husband popped the question. During a recent appearance on the The Late Late Show with James Corden, Biel told the host that the sentimental moment, which unfolded in 2011, was actually a surprise. "It was so nice and so sweet and so unexpected. I had no idea it was coming," she said to Corden.

Biel revealed that Timberlake's proposal took place while the duo was on a snowy trip out in the mountains. "We were in Montana on a piece of property that we owned at the time," she shared. "We had snowboarded all day. It was in the middle of the winter. Waist-high snow. We were in head-to-toe snowboarding outfits—hats, gloves, everything." In the middle of their adventure, Timberlake dropped down on one knee, hilariously sinking into the snow in the process, pulled out a ring, and asked her to marry him.

Corden noted that Timberlake was "bold" for going out into the tundra with an engagement ring in his pocket. "That is not a decision I would make," he joked. "That can only backfire." Biel agreed, noting that Timberlake had "confidence" before sharing that there was just one impediment to to her accepting the ring: She was wearing huge skiing gloves in the moment. Overall, their engagement was "lovely, surprising, [and] hilarious," Biel shared.

The movie star is excited to mark a decade of marriage with Timberlake and previously opened up about how much these married years mean to her. "I sometimes feel like 10 years has just flown by in the blink of an eye and other times I feel like, 'Oh my gosh, 10 years, that's a really substantial amount of someone's life,'" she told Access Hollywood in April. "I just feel really proud of it."
