It's that time of year again, and America's Got Talent fans better get ready.

The last few months have been a whirlwind for viewers, thanks to the debut of America's Got Talent: All-Stars. But as the season 1 finale of the spin-off aired in February with AGT season 16 runner-up Aidan Bryant declared the winner, folks may be itching to see new acts impress the judges for a chance to be the best in the country.

While the NBC competition series gears up for season 18, certain elements are the same. Hopefuls will still perform for Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofía Vergara. Though there are only a handful of golden buzzers to hand out, contestants can still try to get through to the live shows. In the end, one incredible act will be crowned the winner and secure themselves a $1 million prize. But before we find out the winner, here's what to know about AGT season 18:

When does AGT season 18 start in 2023?

AGT is coming back with new season 18 episodes on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Fans can tune in to the two-hour premiere at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

"First official photo from #AGT season 18! Don’t miss the premiere on May 30th! 🎉," the show's official Instagram and Twitter wrote in the announcement.

Until you get to watch the latest round of soulful singers and heart-pumping acrobatics over Memorial Day weekend, you might want to consider snagging a ticket to be part of the show's on camera audience.

Who will be the AGT judges for the 2023 season?

Just like last season, fans can expect Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofía Vergara will return as judges for AGT season 18. Terry Crews will also come back to the stage as the show's host.

Viewers who tuned into AGT: All Stars may notice that this will mark the Modern Family alum's return to the franchise since last year, since she wasn't in the spin-off.

What's more, it looks like everyone is already back in action for the first set of episodes. Sofía recently posted a sneak peek from the first day of auditions on Instagram. From a behind-the-scenes video with Heidi to her sitting at the judges' panel for the first time in a year, the actress immediately felt right at home.

"Back to the best job in the world!!!!! @agt thank u @simoncowell ❤️❤️❤️❤️," Sofía wrote on March 25, expressing her appreciation for the executive producer.

She wasn't the only one posting about filming on social media. Howie uploaded a clip of himself working in the audition room, featuring Sofía and Heidi doing makeup touches from their seats.

"Hey, we're taping AGT," he said in a video uploaded on March 26. "I'm back — oh, it's Heidi. Look at Sofía. Don't look at them without powder! I'm showing you behind the powder!"
