Apart from judging acts on season 17 of America’s Got Talent, Sofía Vergara is also juggling her return to the acting world with her new Netflix show, Griselda.

On June 20, the 50-year-old TV personality posted a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the upcoming drama series. After portraying Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on Modern Family for 11 seasons, Sofía is set to play the late Griselda Blanco. Once known as the “Black Widow” in real life, the Netflix limited series will chronicle Griselda’s rise to power from a young mother to the leader of a Colombian-based cartel.

In the Instagram pic, the AGT judge gave fans a glimpse of how she got into character, beginning with a nearly makeup-free face. “Starting our last big week on #Griselda!” Sofía captioned the snap. “What an unforgettable ride in so many ways!! ❤️❤️🎬 cant wait for u guys to see it next year!!!”

Though a makeup artist worked on defining her eyebrows, she didn’t appear to be wearing a lot of makeup (except a pink pout). Without skipping a beat, AGT fans took to her Instagram comments section to rave about her look and new project.

“SOFIAAAA❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥,” one fan wrote. “AND WE CANT WAIT TO SEE IT 🤩 this transformation is incredible and so is this entire project!! Love you ♥️,” a different fan said.

ICYMI: Shortly after Netflix revealed that the Hot Pursuit star landed the exciting role, the streamer shared a first look of Sofía in character. While there’s no release date for Griselda yet, it's believed that the actress hinted at a “next year” premiere.

According to Variety, Sofía and fellow Colombian producer Luis Balaguer came up with the idea nearly a decade ago. Viewers can expect to see her star alongside a dozen of other Latinx actors in the six 50-minute episodes, including Narco: Mexico’s Alberto Guerra, NCIS: New Orleans' Vanessa Ferlito and The AvengersMaximiliano Hernández.
